Zalama-kollektiivi syntyi elokuussa 2024 ympäristössä, jossa
ystävyys, yhdessä tekemisen ilo ja tila olla aidosti oma itsensä
olivat keskiössä.Se on kuudesta nuoresta koostuva monitaiteellinen ryhmä, jota yhdistää tausta Suomen valokuvataiteen museon Photofuss-ryhmässä.Löysimme siellä yhteisen intohimon taiteeseen ja oivalsimme, kuinka voimakkaasti yhteisöllisyys voi rikastuttaa luovaa työskentelyä.Haluamme inspiroida, rohkaista ja avata ovia taiteen maailmaan – yhdessä.ENG
The Zalama collective was born in August 2024 in an environment where friendship, the joy of creating together, and the freedom to be one’s true self were at the center.It is an interdisciplinary group of six young people, brought together by their shared background in the Photofuss program at the Finnish Museum of Photography.There, we discovered a common passion for art and realized how profoundly a sense of community can enrich creative work.We aim to inspire, encourage, and open doors to the world of art — together.

Debyyttinäyttelyssämme esillä oli töitä jokaiselta Zalama-
kollektiivin jäseneltä. Tutkimme visuaalisen taiteen keinoin suhdettamme lähiympäristöön ja –yhteisöön tuoden esille hetkiä, tarinoita ja yksityiskohtia.Rohkaisemme katsojaa tarkastelemaan ympäristöä kanssamme ja reflektoimaan sitä vasten omaa kokemusmaailmaansa.Näyttelyn yhteydessä järjestimme nuorille työpajoja dokumentaarisesta valokuvauksesta.ENG
In our debut exhibition, we presented works by every member of the Zalama collective. Through visual art, we explored our relationship with our local surroundings and community, bringing forth moments, stories, and details.We encourage the viewer to observe the environment with us and to reflect on it through the lens of their own experiences.In connection with the exhibition, we organized workshops on documentary photography for young people.

Zalama-kollektiivi vietti viikon taideresidenssissä Kittilässä Suomen Lapissa työstäen uutta projektiaan, joka nähdään vuoden 2025 aikana.
Työskentelyä ja residenssiä on tukenut Helsingin kaupunki projektiavustus Sponssilla.ENG
The Zalama collective spent a week at an artist residency in Kittilä in Finnish Lapland, working on a new project that will be seen during 2025.The residency and the artistic working process was supported by the City of Helsinki with Sponssi project grant.
